This Hyderabad based construction company has secured a significant contract worth ₹327.89 crore for an irrigation project in Telangana. KNR Construction Ltd. received a Letter of Acceptance for the Sita Rama Lift Irrigation Project – Distributary package No. 6. This project involves extensive earthwork excavation, forming embankments, and constructing various structures. Additionally, it requires lining canals for two major distributaries.
The project covers distributaries D-1 to D-15 of the Sathupally Main Canal. This includes earthwork excavation to create canal beds and embankments. The embankments will provide structural integrity to the canals, preventing erosion. Moreover, constructing essential structures along these distributaries will ensure the irrigation system functions effectively.
The project also includes work on distributaries D-16 to D-35 of the NTR Flood Flow Canal. Similar tasks involve earthwork excavation and embankment formation. Proper canal lining minimizes water loss through seepage, enhancing the irrigation system’s efficiency.
The contract period is set at 24 months, during which KNR Construction Ltd. will complete all necessary tasks. Additionally, there is a two-year defect liability period to address any post-completion issues. This project highlights KNR Construction Ltd.’s expertise in large-scale infrastructure projects and contributes to improving irrigation infrastructure in Telangana.
