The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has introduced a new web-based platform called the Integrated SEBI Portal for Technical Glitches (iSPOT) to enhance the efficiency of reporting technical issues. This initiative targets Market Infrastructure Institutions (MIIs) such as stock exchanges, clearing corporations, and depositories.
Instead of using emails, MIIs will now submit preliminary and final Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports through iSPOT. This portal will go live on February 3, 2025.
The iSPOT portal aims to improve data quality, historical traceability, and compliance monitoring. Additionally, it will automate notifications, allowing MIIs to adhere to SEBI’s timelines for RCA report submissions. This centralized repository will also help SEBI monitor and address various compliance requirements more efficiently.
MIIs can access the iSPOT portal using their existing SEBI Intermediary (SI) login credentials for seamless integration. The iSPOT initiative is part of SEBI’s ongoing efforts to streamline regulatory processes and protect investor interests.
