A leading telecom gear maker in India, aims to achieve 70% of its revenue from fibre optic exports and 50% from telecom equipment exports within three years. The company is witnessing a surge in demand for 5G gear and is actively developing 6G technology. HFCL Managing Director Mahendra Nahata told PTI that the company is now seeing a surge in demand for 5G gears after telecom operators have installed 5G mobile towers across the country. Apart from optic fibre cable, HFCL provides peripheral telecom equipment that connects with base stations to enhance coverage.
HFCL had closed the financial year 2023-24 with a revenue of over Rs 4,465 crore. The company is already exporting to 40 countries and has filed around 15 patents related to 6G technology.
