Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) kept selling in the oil, auto, power, and FMCG sectors in December 2024. They sold around Rs 5,489 crore in oil & gas, Rs 2,548 crore in automobiles, Rs 1,310 crore in power, and Rs 1,134 crore in FMCG.
Meanwhile, FIIs bought stocks in IT, healthcare, services, textiles, consumer services, capital goods, and construction. They invested Rs 2,296 crore in IT, Rs 1,850 crore in healthcare, and Rs 751 crore in textiles.
Overall, FIIs sold Rs 21,612 crore in November and Rs 15,446 crore in December. Despite this, they put Rs 17,331 crore into the primary market in December, showing their long-term interest in India.
